(Own Correspondent.) Fkilding, Last Night. About 2.40 this morning a fire broke out in a block of buildings in Kimbolton road, originally known as the Ola Corporation Buildings. The fire started in the front portion, occupied by Mr T. Wilson, tailor ft quickly spread to the offices of Mesm Fitzherbert, Tustin and Mackeras. and Trewin.

The Brigade and the Fire Police werequickly on the scene. The former devoted their attention-to Messrs Rouse, and Hurrah's premiees, where the flames had already gofa good hold, but to their disgust the firemea found they were hampered with an insufficient supply of water. The building contained a large stock of vehicles; which were speedily removed—and only jußt in time, for th» fire quickly swept the whole place. In the meantime Messrs Collms Bro» r auction mart caught, but the flames were not permitted to obtain anything like a strong hold and in the end Ihr building was saved. But for safety^! the stock was removed. Fearing lest the fire should spre^a to the Square Mr E. P. Smith and o there removed their goods.
