Miss E. Wallace has been appointed relieving teacher by the Wanganui Education B,oard.
Miss Vera JEJendersqn, of Auckland, and Miss Louisa Burnett, of Wanganui, attained equal marks (136) for the gold medal in the recent musical examinations of the Associated Boards conducted throughout the ooiony by Mr George Langley, of London.
The Premier journeyed to Wellington last evening from the north by the express train.
Mr O. Dunk will judge section jumping at the Woodville Show, D. Gordon the Romney, Down, and Leicester sheep, and J. Jarvis the poultry. So pleased were the scholars of the Campbell-street School with the assistance Miss E. Browne rendered as accompanist at their concert that they presented her with a gold band ring suitably inscribed. The presentation was. made publicly by the chairman of the committee, Mr H. Palmer.
Master Sehvyn Lissaman's success in the recent scholarship examinations was referred to by the chairman of the Committee at the concert last evening, and ringing cheers were giyen for the }ad by his fellow scholars..
