A young lady whilst riding, a bicycle along Manchester-street to-day collided, with Mr Th^m,s,qn's. afore Wfi. , Fro. tunately she escaped .injury, but the bicycle was severely damaged..'' ;' The entries for Messrs (Qprfon ' t&s'. Son's sale to-day were large, and price* much in keeping with previous sales. It does, not of ten occur for a rn,ob qf sheep to visit a hotel to quench thejy thirst. Such was the case this, evening wh,en a d.rqyer was returning from the sale with his flock about 20 of the number entered the bar of the Empire Hotel, and were with considerable difficulty removed. They were' evidently not prohibitionists. , An enthusiastic meeting :6f lacfief interested in the Feilding Brass Band Bazaar was held at the Foresters" HaU this evening. The bajsaar will be .held on the evenings of the. next race days.!'
