(Per Press Association) Blenheim, Yesterday. The Collector of Customs has received a telegram from Waitaria Baj', stating that an oil launch, painted white, was seen crossing the Akaloa Bay in a south-east gale, and makiDg heavy weather. She was struck by a heavy squall and suddenly disappeared. It is supposed she belonged to Turner, of Admiralty Bay.

• Westpo'rt, Last Night. Edward McCoomb, 29 years of age, single, was working with dynamite at Denniston yesterday when an explosion occurred. He sustained dreadful injuries to the lower part of his abdomen and has since died.

Charles Gilbertson, unmarried,, hung himself this morning in a carpentering shop opposite his residence. He resided with his mother and a sister. Ho first lit a fire and then committed the deed.
