HOCKEY.
No meeting of the Hockey Association this week. "Why? Also, no cup matches to-day. The Canterbury - Auckland match, Which was won by the former team by two goals to one, was witnessed by two thousand people—a pretty fair attendance considering that the present season saw the establishment of hockey in the northern city. Canterbury play a return match with Wanganui, probably on Thursday.
After the conclusion of the ehampionsnip matches the Campbell-street School Old Boys will journey to Levin to play Horowhenua.
