The village of fc'an Carlos was set ablaze and and an explosion occurred within the fort. The Venezuelan rebels under General Ricwa attacked the town of Coro. Ten hours' Btrtet fighting followed. Ten of General Castro's troops and thirty rebels were killed, inducting General Navae, and 115 were wounded, including General Kiewa. The rebels eventually retreated,
