Auckland, July 22. A native, Wiremu Pura, was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment for an offence on a girl under twelve years of age.
Wellington, July 22. A conference of the various branches of the New Zealand Seamen's Union will be opened in Wellington to-morrow.
James Collins, of Eimutakas, was fined £5 at the Magistrate's Courfc for failing to continue to destroy rabbits on his property.
