From Our Special Reporter. Turakina, This Day. Handicap Hurdles of 35 soys — Mount (Hope), 1 ; Onep-i, 2 ; Loch Lomond (a Rangitikei horse). - Bugler and Rangitira also started. Rangitira fell. The other two unplaced horses ran off. Time, 4min 41 sec. 107 on the totalisator; dividend, 355. Diomedes was scratched. McElwain, who rotfe Rangitire, was badly hurt, the horse rolling 'over on him, He was insensible for some time, but is better now, though some of the small bones m one of his hand are apparently broken. Maiden Plate, 35 sovs— Tauwera (Scott) 1, Touch-and-Go, Adventure 3. The first mile and a quarter the placed horses raced neck and neck, Tauwera was then let out and won hard held. Totalisator 95, 20 on winner, dividend, £4 ss. Time, 2min 56f sees. Hack 'rlurdl'-s.— Hopes' Sir William, I ; Loch Lomond, 2 ; Anaroa, 3. Volunteer Kotiro, Lyric, Helicore, and Matipo also ran. Lyric led until after the Inst hurdle was passed, when the others closed up. Loch Lomond came up at 'the end but w»s just beaten by a nose by-tl-e winner, a trained Wanganui horse, Time 2min 18S.sec. 91 m totalisator 18 on winner — Dividend £4 Us.
