CANTERBURY PRODUCE MARKET.

Wheat. — A. fair sales are reported at 4i Id. to 4a 2d for first-class milling. For so extra 3umpla an advance on the latter rate could be obtained. Average lots are quoted at 3s lOd to 4i. Several pereels of cliick wheat have been sold during the past few days at prices ranging between 3» and 2a 6d. Oats. — The market for fcbis grain has not altered m any particular. The absence of an active enquiry for milling sample* is •till noticeflble. The lull at the. moment, is no doubt partly attribtatable to. the incre«w« of freight! lately a«ked by the different shipping companies having checked operations. Prices, however, have nat been •ensibiy affected, thongh dealers are more guarded m purchasing. Bright heavy milling commands, Is 7d to Is Bd, and several heavy lines have within the last day or two been taken up at the above values. Barley. — The quotations of last week are still current with a slightly improved feeling for the best kinds. First-class finds buyers from 3-5. 3d. to 3s. Gd. and fair malting from 2s. 6d. to 2s. 9d. Feed descriptions continue comparatively plentiful, and are not m much request ; valuos are Is 6d, to Is 9d. Potatoes continue very difficult to cell, and the market is thoroughly listless with a thorough absence of enquiry. Rates ava purely uomin.il.
