RESIGNATION OF THE MINISTRY.
(From the Wangaaui Herald.) ■ WeixijSGTon, Oct 6. A meeting of the Liberal party was held this morning, 42 being present. The Premie^ •will tender his resignation this morning. Montgomery will probably be elected leader of the Opposition. The meeting strongly expressed an opinion again,sfc coalition, and Hall will be compelled to form a Government out of his own party. The new Government will probably consist of Hall, Premier ; Wateriiouso, Colonial Se - cretary j Atkinson, Treasurer ; Oliver, Public Works j "Watefiold, Postmaster- General; Ornjond. Native Minister. The Liberals are united and strong, and with tact, moderation of tone, and skilful leadership, they must always hold the key of position. • ' . It was decided in' the caucus meeting this morning tliat the Ministry will resign. : ■ \ ■ Unless the Governor requests it, Grey will tender no advice. If asked he will advise a reconstruction. . Immediately after the caucus meeting this morning, the 'Premier waited on the Governor and placed the resignation of the Ministry m his hands- . ;
