lii the House to-day petitions 1 were presented from Dr. Newman against theretutn of HurSfc and Wollis for Auckland Qity West, and from Edward Richardson against the return of Sir G-eoge Grey for Christchurch, Friday week was fixed for theirconsideration. . . .Siv George, Grey announced that the Ministers had placed their resignations m the hands of the Governor, and only held office until, their successors were appointed. Mr. Hall stated that he had undertaken to fcrm a Ministry, and hoped to be able to announce the namits on Fridijy. The Hpuse adjourned to Thursday^ when a Supply Bill will require to-b.e passed, and then adjourn till next day. T
