Meiboitbnk, September; 21. 10,000 bushels of wheat were sold at 6s 3d. 70,000 bags of New Zealand at 4s. 9d. Wanoanui, September 27. Mr Freeman R. Jackson reports : — The increased demand for store cattle has, made the sales very brisk during the last fortnight, a great number hating changed hands at full rates and m favour of the sellers. Beef is now fully 25a. the 100 lbs; I do not think the bidding was so brisk as at the last fortnightly sale, though the prices obtained were very good. The pens that were passed mat the auction, I sold afterwards at quotations. . . CattliE.— At Waverley, on Friday, 365. head were yarded. Prices were — Cows, £5 ; bullocks, £6 2s 6d ; steers, two-year-old, £S Ss ; cows and calves, £7 7s 6d.; eigh-teen-months'-old heifers, £4 2s 6d. At Turakina, 152 head were yarded and sold. Prices were— Bullocks, £5 17s 6d of £7 ; cows, £5 ,7s 6d ; heifers, £4s 7s 6d; eighteen-moaths'- old, £3 17s 6d ; milch cows, £8 15s; to £9 12s 6d. ; At the yards, to-day, 170 head came forward.
