Tui, s.s. : 13 gunnies sugar, 1 case mustard, 1 bdl zinc, 1 bdl brooms, 1 case axes, 5 kegs nails, 1 cheese, 1 box Sultanas, 10 bags flour, 1 iron gal c and fittings, 2 sacks flour, 1 cart, 6 boxes soap, 50 sacks Oats I case drapery, 2 cases ale, 1 octave w"ine, 2 bags salt, 1 do potatoes, 1 do peas, 1 do beans, 2 do grass seed, 1 case groceries, 3 : bags oatmeal, 1 bag rice, 1 case currants, 1 do salmon, 1 cask sugar, 1 bag sago, 3 hhds ale, 206 pieces timber, 1 half chest tea, 1 box bandies, 1 do cornflour, 2 bags sugar, 1 piano, 21 packages, &c, sundries. F. W. Loudon, 10 Backs oats. E. S. Thynne, Agent. Jane Douglas, s.s., 50 . sacks bats, 5 cases, 10 sacks coal, 15 hhds ale, 10 coils wire, 3 coils rope, 1 roll zinc, 1 truss drapery, lcart axle, 3 cases stout, 4 cases fruit, 453 packages, &c, sundries. F. W. Loudon, 3 cases, 10 pkgs, 1 jar. J. W. Liddell, Agent. The Tui left Wellington on Saturday at 10 o'clock p.m., anchored at Kapiti the following morning at 4 a.m. left- again at 10 a.m. and arrived at Foxton at 2.50 p.m. Sunday. Experienced a heavy westerly gale all through the passage. Jane Douglas, s.s. left Wellington oil Saturday at 9 p.m., she made Foxton on Sunday morning, but the sea being so heavy on the bar, Captain Fraser, decided to put back to Kapiti when he remained till noon on Monday, where she again started for Foxton arriving at 5 p.m. The N.Z. S. S. Company intend running the Jane Douglas twice" a week regularly between Foxton and Wellington, starting j every Tuesday and Friday.
