March 23. Some natives of Ohinemuri who went up the river a short distance from their pa had shots fired at them by Aroha natives, :-■'- . The Moanaitaiari yield turned out , 6164 ozs. of melted gold from five ~cwt. of specimens yesterday. ; Thjs morning 15 cwt. was broken down. ,Qne stone weighing about 60 pounds being enormously rich and estimated to be about half gold.
