This contrasts very favorably with the previous year's operations, •which involved a loss of £2025 18s. 9d. The shareholders are to be congratulated on the change; which has been brought about °y .active supervision and strict economy, and it is worthy of remark that this improved.position of affairs has been brought about mainly within the past six months, as iip to that time the old heavy rate ofexpenditure waygoing on, although the staff had been: greatly reduced.-" N.
