THEWanganui "Herald" takes excsption to our remarks m a recent issue respecting Small Farm Associations. This is, doubtless, because we neglected to explain that those remarks had reference to the legal standing of those associations and to that alone. We meant that, m the eye of the law, their co-operation was only nominal, &c. Nothing could have been farther from our intention than saying anything depreciatory of them, and we are glad our contemporary has alluded to the matter, because it gives us an opportunity of making this explanation, which ought to have been made m the context of the passage quoted by the " Herald " from our leading columns.
