PALMERSTON NORTH LOCAL BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting took place m the Board-room, on Saturday, the 3rd February, 1877. " V COMMISSIONERS PEESENT. Messrs Linton ( Chairman)' J. N. Owen, andT. R. Walton. MINUTES. • The minutes, of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. COEEESPONDENCE. ; : • A letter was received from the Chairman of the County Council, requesting a return of all rates collected up to. the 31st of March, 187 G. '
The Chairman stated that the Board not being m existence at the above date, no rates had consequently been collected, but that he had furnished an approximate return made lip from the assessment value. MISCELLANEOUS- BUSINESS. Proposed by Commissioner T. B. Walton, seconded by Commissioner J. N. Owen, — "That the street running parallel vrith Uaiigitilrei-strcet past Lyon's JEratcd Water Factory, should be named ' Taomxi- street' " Carried. Proposed by Commissioner J. N. Owen, seconded by Commissioner T. E. Walton,—" That steps bo taken to ascertain the expense of forming the said street, and the new portion of Broadstreet." Carried. The Board will meet on Saturday, March 3rd, 1877.
