TIMARU.
Wednesday. Serious floods occurred last night be tween Timaru and Temuka. The Seadown estate was completely under, water. Miles of fencing were washed away* There has been, great destruction : of crops and cattle. Railway traffic is ..interrupted, and fears are entertained for the safety of some- of the settlers. Thetrain from Ashburton • with the Suez jnail has not arrived.
