' The Secretary was instructed to acknowledge receipt of same. 'From Messrs Buller and Lewis, solicitors to the Board, forwarding ".Gazette" proclaiming the By-laws of * the Board approved of.. . From H. Bunny, Esq., relative to application 'for; Poundia/tfd site,..and. refer-. ing^tES 'BoarcTiEp)yE^aiise 43 of. the "Local; Board Act;. f: Frdm Messrs R. Johnson and J. Harris, requesting the Board to form and metal street laid off by the Provincial Government through section 257. The Secretary was instructed to.write to H. Bunny, Esq.,. requesting him to cause the two buildings- formerly used by the Survey Department, to be removed. N From Chairman of the Public Hall Company (Limited),, agreeing to terms for one of the rooms on the ground floor m the Public Hall - as" an office for the - Board, viz. :. £20 per annum,. paid quar- ' terly,^ first quarter to commence from January Ist, 1877. - The pdlleetor was instructed to take proceedings m the" R?M. Court against all ratepayers whose States still remain unpaid. Mr Jenssen, who had been instructed to take levels from the. hole m front of Mr Phillips' property m Broad-street^ reported that it could be easily drained by sinking , the : drain at the side of Main-street lower. , Resolved,— To call for tenders for draining the same as soon as Mr Jenssen shall -furnish plans and specifications'. , .
