AMERICAN PROPERTY
DISPOSAL IN INDIA. (9.30 a.m.) NEW DELHI, Dec. 27. The United States property surpluses in India, which have a book value probably exceeding £125,000,000, will be sold to the Government of India, according to an agreement which was reached on December 24 and has been announced today. It is intended to prevent any dislocation in the Indian economy which might have resulted if the. American Foreign Liquidation Commission had continued its policy of piecemeal disposal.
