HEALTH STAMP SALES

"If the present indications are a guide, the objective of a 50 per cent, increase on last year's sales will be achieved," said the Chief Postmaster at Palmerston North (Mr M. R. Aldridge) when referring to the health stamp campaign today, it was hoped, he said, to increase the record set up in Pa'lmerston North last year.

The campaign in Palmerston North opened to brisk business this morning. Members of the staff engaged at the counter wore beribboned medallions bearing inscriptions urging the public to subscribe. The Health Stamp Committee, with which is associated many of the women's organisations in Palmerston North, has arranged to staff two tables which have been placed in the Chief Post Office to deal exclusively with the sale of health stamps.
