AMERICAN MARINE FORCE. (12 30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Sept 28 Pl'ins to use American Marines as "minute men" in the World Organisation to maintain peace was disclosed by the Marine commandant (General Vandergrift) testifying before the House of Representatives Naval Affairs Committee. Urging a Post-war Marine force of 100,000 men with 9200 officers, General Vandergnft said that in the event of the failure of the present efforts towards an international organisation to prevent war the scope of the Marine force would be expanded A force of "minute men" would be held in readiness to be moved instantly with the fleet to any part of the world to strike hard and prompt.y to kill at its beginning any attempt to disrupt world peace.
