Flight-Licut. Moffatt is the eldest son of Hon. W. Moffatt, M.L.C., and Mrs Moffatt, of Ghaytor Street, Palmerston North. Ho volunteered for the Air Force and went overseas in 1941. After completing his training, he was posted to a heavy bomber squadron which was engaged in attacking targets on tho Continent. One brother, Pilot-Officer J. RMoffatt, is believed to have lost his life oil operations in Italy in May of this year, and another brother, Sccond-Lvut. A. V. Moffatt, is serving with the Maori Battalion.
