N.Z.E.F. MEN RETURNING
TWO LARGE PARTIES. (Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Sept 26 A total of approximately 5500 Sec-:; ond N.Z.E.F. personnel from the Middle East and the United Kingdom will arrive shortly in two large drafts, said the Minister of Defence (Mr Jones) today. The Strathmore, with 3963 personnel from the Middle East, was expected to reach Wellington on September J3O and bertli at Pipitea wharf about 8 a.m., and the Dominion Monarch, carrying 1462 personnel from both the United Kingdom and the . Middle East, was expected to arrive at Lyttelton and disembark South Island men on October 1 at 6 a.m-
Immediately after the Strathmoreberths, its South Island personnel will he transferred to the Rangatira, which will make a daylight trip to Lyttelton, leaving Wellington about 10 a.m. and arriving at approximately 7.30.. p.m. When the disembarkation of the'. South Island men is complete, the North Island men will be disembarked and despatched to their homes by special trains and buses. The Dominion Monarch, after completing disembarkation at Lyttelton, will sail for Wellington, where she is due to arrive at 9 a.m. on October 2. The Wellington men will disembark at 10 a.m. and the men for other parts of the North Island will be despatched to their homes by special trains and buses. y- -
