FRANCO DENOUNCED
SPAIN’S FASCIST REGIME. BUILT ON AXIS LINES. LONDON, Sept. 26. It is not possible to work out any satisfactory agreement with General Franco’s Spanish Government, said the Acting-Secret ary of State (Mr Acheson) in Washington today. It is revealed that the Franco regime was also denounced in a letter written by- the late President Roosevelt in which he said that General Franco, having been helped to power by Germany and Italy, had fashioned his country along Axis lines. ' “I can see no place in the family 7 of nations,” he wrote, “for a Government based on Fascist principles.”
