Miss Oram, who had provided the hostesses with pretty shoulder sprays, wore a mushroom pink afternoon-frock with close fitting grey toque and grey coat. About ]2O guests were welcomed. The decorations were a feature and had been carried out by Mrs Wall and Miss West with a profusion of pink primus, japoniea and almond blossom in large bowls in tho hall and various roomSj camellias, japoniea and forsythia, with violets and polyanthus making a colourful contribution. After refreshments had been enjoyed Miss Oram was called upon to open the many parcels her friends had brought for the new home. In this she was assisted by Miss V. Oram and Mrs Yockney. Miss Oram, who was accorded musical honours and cheers, thanked the hostesses and the company. A pantry tea was given by Mrs Norman Sinclair for Miss Oram at her home in Featherston Street.
