Ten of the mission's 13 members were killed. The Russians also turned machineguns on the civilians. The Russians on Wednesday sank a Japanese ship carrying refugees to Otaru, Hokkaido. The Osaka radio says Chinese Communists, Chinese Government troops and Russians are all making unlawful attacks on Japanese troops on the Asiatic mainland. The Communists so far have committed 70 of 79 unlawful acts and at present are moving southwards rapidly attempting to expand their footholds on the southern bank or the i'angtse River before the Chinese Government troops can arrive.
