DISPOSAL OF WAR GAS
(Rec. 1 p.m.) CANBERRA. Aug. 21. Eleven thousand tons of poison gas bombs, shells, and mines are to be dumped at sea. The gas was stored near Albury. Army. Ordnance officers said the gas was rushed to Australia from England in the early days of the Pacific war when it was thought the Japanese would resort to gas warfare.
