LONGBURN

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Prizewinners at the euchre party held in aid of the hall funds were Mrs Pearson and Mr J. Holland.

The West End Scouts played the local Scouts at football and won by 3 points to nil. The boys wore entertained at afternoon tea. by Mesdames J. Mabey and .T. Martin. The To Awe Awe Cub |>aek paid a visit to the Longhorn Cubs, when games and items were enjoyed. An investiture ceremony was also held. A flag 500 evening was hold in the Scout Hut in aid of the troop. Firs Walker, Miss Freomanand Messrs ShorUand and Wilson were the winners. Flying-Officer J. Ilcarsoy journeyed to Auckland recently to meet his bride, who came from England. Mr T. Swonnson is now out of hospital after his long illness. Miss L. Hearsey is making a good recovery after her rCcent illness.
