ESSENTIAL INDUSTRIES

REV [SION IN PROGRESS,

A further revision of the essential clauses of industry is at present in progress, according to Mr L. AV. Cozens, District Manpower Officer, at a meeting of the Alanawatu District Council of Primary Production, yesterday. Air Cozens said the Minister of Manpower desired to get' back Tu the nominal basis as soon as possible and the revision at present going on might result in a great number of the essential clauses being revoked. It would be a fairly long and difficult task, however, and there might ho some discontent because some industries remained in the essential category.
