CHALLENGE TO JAPANESE

(Rec. 11 a.m.) GUAM, July 5. One hundred and fifty. Mustangs circled over three Tokio airfields for an hour, challenging the Japanese air force by radio to come op and fight. The Japanese did not respond. The Mustangs destroyed or damaged 32 planes on the ground and then roamed freely, shooting up six airfields and other targets of opportunity.
