LEAVING CZECHOSLOVAKIA
RUSSIANS REDUCING FORCES. (Rec. 11 a.m.) PRAGUE. July 4 M. dementis, the Acting-Foreign Minister, lias announced that the Russians have given the Czechs an assuiance that they are reducing the occupation forces in Czechoslovakia to 90,-000 by July 15. The Czech Government has also requested the Americans to consider withdrawing from the country. The Russians, according to the regrouping plan, are withdrawing from the central part of the country and concentrating along the frontiers including some troops opposite the American occupation zone. “A demarcation lino between the Russians and Americans was never drawn up,” lie said. “It was a de facto lino which settled itself in the closing stages of the war.” M. dementis says the Czechs’ determined to wipe out dangerous minorities, intend to expel in the next 18 months 2,500,000 Germans and 600,001) Hungarians subject to the approval of the Big Powers.
