The National War Savings deposits for last week, which is the end of the series until after the closing of the Victory Loan, were very substantial from a majority of the offices. The sum of £1320 was recorded bv the Levin office, £BIO by Dannevirke, and £950 by Pahiatua. The next highest in the country was Rangiwahia, with £262. Next came Apiti. £258; Feilding. ,£228, and Tokomaru. £IOB. Three small offices were included in the list of quota towns—Manakau, Tokomaru, and Wera-roa--and are to be commended for their success.
