DAIRY FACTORY MANAGERS

ANNUAL GATHERING

The 13th annual dairy factory managers' week opened at Missey College yesterday, there being a particularly large and representative gathering. Professor W. Riddet presided at the opening ceremony. The deliberations will continue until Thursday afternoon, but there was no session this morning.

In extending a welcome to those present, Professor Ricklet said they were meeting under very different conditions from those of a year ago. They had had almost six years of very trying times in the dairy industry, in common with many others, in bringing the war in Europe to a conclusion, and it was to be hoped that it would be the last war of all time. They'could now hope that the conflict in the East would soon be over.
