“Everlasting Punishment” was, the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches 'of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. Jhe Golden Text was Ezekiel 18:23: Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that lie should return from his Avays, and live? Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible: “Knowest thou not, this of , old, ,'sinco man was placed upon earth, That the triumphing of the ■wicked is short, ancl the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment''” (Job 20: 4,5.) Also the’fodowing passages from the Christian , Science textbook, “Science and Health Avith Ivey to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Divino Love corrects and govorns man. To suppose that God forgives or punishos sin according as His mercy is sought ior unsought, is to misunderstand Love and to make prayer the. safety-valve for wrongdoing,” (p. 6.)
