A.N.A. CLUB
A bright, entertainment was enjoyed by well over 400 club members and members of the Forces at the A.N.A. dance club on Sunday. Many visitors were- welcomed. The hostesses were Mrs A. E. Joblin, Misses D. Knowles, K. Garner. L. McDonald and It. Bosworth. Tliey wore assisted by Mr J. A. Smith as M.C. and by committee members. Miss V. Royal was in charge of the games and Miss K. Thompson served the soft drinks. In the afternoon Miss J. Keen carried out the duties of dance hostess, and in the evening, Mrs J. Satherley was floor hostess. The winners of the Monte Carlo waltz were Miss J. Grace, of Auckland, and Pilot-Officer Pearce. The committee acknowledged donations of food from Miss E. T.aing, Mrs C. Louinon and Messrs Collinson and Cuninnghame, Ltd. Members of the Wanganui Girls' College Old Girls' Association serviced the canteen, 89 teas and nine suppers being provided. The hostesses were Mesdames G. Dearlove, D. 11. Cook and D. Watson. Vases of autumn leaves and chrysanthemums had been attractively arranged in the club rooms and on the tables by Mesdames N.. D. Stubbs and T. P. Hart. Members of the Palmei'slon North Music Club, entertainpd with popular numbers.
