RESTRICTION ON RUBBER. The biggest wartime headache for corsetieres has been the shortage of elastic, which forced industrial legislation to restrict the amount, in any one corset to a specific number of inches. This drastically reduced the flexibility of Berlei foundations. But when it is understood that only the exigencies of war have caused this, women will assuredly excopti it in f,he same good spirit in which they have accepted the scarcity of Berleis while (he factory concentrates on clothing for tho Porces. Berlei's more indicate shaping helps out the loss oi elastic. But only when the right fitting is worn. Better buy none than buy the wrong one. Berleis fit closely, following every subtle variation of figure type. A wrong fit. therefore, is no more satisfactory in a Berlei than in a shoe. Particularly now, lacking elastic's happy, accommodation.* i
