RIFLE SHOOTING
At a we'.l-attended meeting held at Toko maru it was decided that a rifle club be formed to be known as the Tokomaru Defence Bifle dub. The following officers were elected: —Patrons, Messrs H. C. Collinson and J. H. Miller; president, Mr J. McNeill; vice-presidents, Messrs T. Wilton, J. Liggins, W. Cooksley, and B Walden; secretary-treasurer, Mr J. Ryder; committee, Messrs N. J. Whyte, S. R. Whyte, T. Kelly, C. Jamieson, and H. Taylor. Mr R. A. Jones who attended and was most helpful on all matters per taining to rifle shooting. As the club has its own rifle range ready, it is intended to commence shooting as soon as rifles and ammunition can be procured.
