Representative ladies' and men's indoor basketball teams from the Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. were visitors to Palmerston North at the week-end. Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. had issued a challenge to tho Palmerston North Y.M.C.A. and.came hero to try to .lower its colours in representative play. The games were held in the spacious gymnasium of the Y.M.C.A. and were followed with interest by a large and enthusiastic crowd of spectators. The play was fast and gave the onlookers some idea nf the thrill of indoor basketball when scientifically played. The results were: Hutt A 7 allev ladies 26 v. Palmerston North Y M.C.Ai ladies B 20; Palmerston North Y.M.C.A. ladies A. 40 v. Hutt Valley ladies 8; Palmerston North Y.M.C.A. Men B 30 v. Hutt Valley Men 16: Palmerston North Y.M.C.A. men A 35 v. Hutt;. Valley men 15. .The teams were entertained at tea at the Y.M.C.A. rooms, the Y.M.C.A. Ladies' Auxiliary being the hostesses.
