Sydney.—A Sydney youth, Leslie Francis Morvan. aged 17. after washing his body and clothes in an inflammable liquid, on reaching home went to the bathroom turned on the gas heater and lit a match. He burst into flames from head to foot. His father put out the flames by wiapping a blanket round the boy, who suffered severe burns to his head, arms, legs and body.
