University. 1.45 p.m. Now York. —Two thousand Argentinians have been arrested in the pant. f° w weeks by a pro-Fascist Argentinian Government. Many of the arrests were made after a lingo anti-Nazi demonstration in Buenos Aires. | There were record attendances at this week's card parties organised by the National Club. Twelve tables were filled at ;the euchre party, when the prizes were won by Mrs A. Stevens and Ml' M. F. Frascr. Miss Redshaw won the special prize at the 500 party, other awards being won by Mr and Mrs A. B. Meiklojohn, Mrs Boniseh, and Mr Mason. Eight tables were occupied. London—An explosion at a Royal Ordnance factory in the west of England killed two and injured 31. The explosion locked buildings in a nearby town and smashed windows over a wide area.
