One or two showers of rain fell during Saturday afternoon, and the giound was heavy, so that play’ in the Rugby match between Old Boys-Kia Toa and Air Force (Ohttken) at the Sporlsgrotlnd was mainly a battle of the forwards. However, Wischnotvsky sent over two penalty goals, and these were the only points scored in the half, tho final scoro thus being Air Force 13, Old Boys-Kia Toa 6. The curtain-raiser, a Senior game between Army and Varsity, resulted in a win for the former by & points to 3 after a hard-fought battle. Army were definitely superior in tho first half, but Varsity pressed hard in the second, without, however, having much success. Feilding Old Boys 17 (tries by McNae, Dais, Urihianu and Jenkins, ' a penalty and a conversion by Wheeler) v. Levin Air Force 11 (Patterson, Baker and Hutton, a conversion by Crawford); Mr C, 11.
