The matron's report on the work of the trainees, who are fulfilling engagements for the W.D.F.U. in several provinces in tho North Island, was very satisfactory, and Mi.-s Salisbury was complimented on the way she. trained those Maori girls, who came to the home as raw recruits, and also on the improved appearance of the girls when their training was completed and they were sent out to their engagements. A suggestion was made that amended rules for rest home committees be considered, but owing to the small attendance, due to travel restrictions, it was decided, that all committee members be circularised before tho next meeting, when a general discussion could take Miss Salisbury reported that there had been a splendid average number of guests during the past quarter, and all spoke very highly of the. comforts provided at the home for thooC in need of rest.
