EASTER IN THE ISLANDS

(10.55) Pacific Headquarters, April 10. In island camps over a scattered 1600 miles of the Pacific front New Zealanders of the Third Division held well attended Easter services this weekend. The first official duties of tho new senior padre, Bishop Gerard, were to conduct services at a number of the Solomons camps only the day after his arrival from New Zealand.. Euliyi. appropriate at tho war’s fifth Eastertide was the Bishop’s analogy, “God voluntarily accepted tho worst mancould do to man”.
