BIG RAID ON RABAUL
46 PLANES DESTROYED ATTACK ON AIRFIELDS LONDON, Jan. 25. The Allies have made another big air attack on the airfields at Rabaul (New Britain), where they destroyed 46 Japanese aircraft and damaged others.
In New Guinea the Australians have made more progress towards the coast and have captured another ridge. This success follows quickly after the capture of Shaggy Ridge. Allied aircraft have raided the Admiralty Islands, where they set three freighters on fire and damaged two others.
