BUS DRIVERS' MEETING
DISRUPTION OF TRANSPORT. (Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 12. All the transport services operated by members of the recently deregistered Drivers' Union within a radius of 25 miles from the Auckland Post Office will be seriously disrupted on Friday morning when the men will hold a stop-work meeting. The meeting will open nt 9 o'clock and the secretary of the union (Mr Matthews) said he expected ii; would finish by 11 o'clock. Not only the bus drivers, who are tho centre of the dispute, but all tho general drivers whose absence from work will bring many industries to a standstill during those hours, have been called to attend the meeting. "We have decided that as the matter has been taken out of our hands no action can bo taken," said Mr N Ii Spencer, prosident of the Auckland" Omnibus Proprietors' Association, after a meeting of bus proprietors.
