ARMED FORCES APPEALS
A sitting of the Palmerston North Armed Forces Appeal Beard was hold yesterday. Mr G. A. Monk presided and with him wero Messrs A. A. Grigor and W. Sutherland. Mr H. J. Worthington represented the Crown. The board’s decisions were as follow:—Adjourned sine die: M. Ingram, factory foreman, and C. H. Williams, factory worker, appeals by Horlick’s Proprietary, Ltd.; M. H. Birch, journeyman baker, appeal by F. S. Birch and Sons, Ltd. (Mr L. Laurenson); G. F. Dalcficld, sharernilkcr, appeal by G. Dalefield; W. H. McDonald, farm manager and shearer (Mr W. L. Fitzherbert); W. A. Plibell, farmer, Opiki (Mr Fitzherbert); H. L. Taylor, farmer (Mr Fitzherbert); P. E. Jewell, store manager, appeal by Rangiwahia Store Coy., Ltd. (Mr Fitzherbert); P. P. Gilchrist, farmer (Mr L. M. Abraham); R. E. Oshorne, farmer (Mr J. M Gordon); I. W. Cookslcy, _ agricultural contractor, appeal by. Rangiotu Primary Production Committee: H. R. Gore, dairy-farmer manager, also appeal by \V. G. Lvons. The appeal of Y. Bird (Mr Fitzherbert) for S.. Christensen, dairy farm-hand, was adjourned for three months. Brick and Pipes, Ltd. (Mr Fitzherbert) appealed for J. F. Griffiths; adjourned until October sittings for further consideration, the company to endeavour to obtain a replacement by then.
