Owing to shortage of staff together with other firms Mouhseys Ltd., the Fashion Seal Furnishers in Rangitikei Street, will be closed for Christmas and annual holidays until Wednesday, January 13, 1943. Reviving Khaki. A small quantity of permanganate of potash added to tho water in which khaki shirts are rinsed, will make them look like new. The water should be merely "pinked." Summer.
The long* delayed 6ummcr weather seems to have corno at last, and it is certain that we shall require cool frocks to be really comfortable. It is fortunate that we can procure these and it is better to stock up well, in this type this season against any possible future shortage. There is a pleasing selection of summer frocks for any wear at Slater's gown 6alon. * Picking Walnuts. Walnuts for pickling shou'.d be picked about December before the shells have formed. They must be soft enough to pierce with a" darning needle quits easily. New Year.
Another busy year has come to a close and the Christinas shopping rush is over. We can now look forward to another successful year in 1943 with fewer shadows, it is hoped, than there have been of recent years. The staff of the Scotch Wool and Hosiery Shop take this opportunity to extend to their numerous clients their good wishes for a victorious New Year.
