FEILDING NEWS
The congregation of the Feilding Presbyterian Church met and decided to send a call to ltev. \V. H. B. McKenzie, of Wadcstown Wellington, to fill the vacant pulpit caused by the resignation of ltev. A. L. Dixon, now serving with the Forces, ltev. J. Hubbard (interim moderator) presided and Mr T. Pagan (session clerk) reported on behalf of the committee set up to endeavour to fill the vacancy that it had to recommend that a call be sent to Mr McKenzie. The church was grateful to Bev. W. It. Hutchinson for the way lie had come forward to help. Moving that a call be sent to Mr McKenzie, Mr Pagan stated that Mr McKenzie was a limit 50 vears of age and had served with the Black Watch in the Great War and since then had served a term in mission work and was particularly prominent in youth work. .It was understood that Mr McKenzie was willing to accept the call. The motion was unanimously carried. and Messrs Pagan, Ross Brown, Buist, G. Bartholomew, and Mrs Ince were appointed a committee to present the finding to the Presbytery at its next meeting. . Mr Hubbard, commenting on tlie happy unanimity shown, congratulated the meeting on receiving such a fairminded statement as that made by Mr Pagan, saying that in bis experience as moderator of many charges lie had never heard one of the kind so well put. On the motion of Mr A. DutTno it was decided to send a. letter ot appreciation to Mr Hutchinson for the kindly spirit ho had shown in fillm o the vacancy temporarily.
