WOMEN’S WORLD

(“By Nanette.”) Miss' N. J. McKittrick, of the staff of the West End School, is at present on sick leave.

The friends of Mrs J. G. Young, of North Street, will regret to learn that she is ill.

Sympathetic reference was made to the death of Mrs L. A. Abraham at a committee meeting of the Manawatu Ladies’ Golf Club, members standing in silence for a brief period as a mark of respect. The late Mrs Abraham was a foundation member of the club and latterly held office as patroness.

Miss Y. Hirons, secretary of the Wanganui branch of the Y.W.C.A., is visiting Mrs A. Barsanti, of Main Street, and while she is in Palmerston 1 North she will discuss with Miss B. Stalker, assistant-secretary of the Palmerston North branch, arrangements for the combined Y.W.C.A. camp to be held in the Bcwa Valley, Hunterville, at Christmas time.
